BACKGROUND
After a triple knee injury crushed an elite sailing dream, Tom soon found a love for photographing and videoing the events he sailed in.
After leading media on multiple sailing National + World Championships, that interest evolved into a love of filmmaking, prompting Tom’s move to Melbourne, studying a Bachelor of Film & TV at Swinburne University.
Tom has since worked as a Director/DoP on a range of projects, from TVCs, Documentaries, Narrative Feature, and SM Campaigns. He’s constantly evolving his skills across creative direction, production management, lighting, camera operation, and editing, with a strong interest in applying advanced techniques and technologies to elegantly deliver stories and messages.
His current primary field of interest is Virtual Production.
After gaffing the first Virtual Production Short Film to be shot on NantStudio’s Docklands Volume, he accepted an R&D position at the Victorian College of the Arts, where he is currently heavily involved in developing the lighting and camera platform for the school’s virtual production studio.
LOCATION
